In our Ritson’s Restaurant, we offer you a range of dishes containing locally
sourced meats from the Fells; managed, sustainable fish stocks; international
and seasonal ingredients; when these are brought together, they reflect modern
eating with a very Cumbrian bias.
With our eclectic range of dishes and daily
changing menus, we try to include something to suite all palates
and would happily encourage you to try something a little different.
Our Head Chef draws strongly on ingredients sourced from the
region - Local, Seasonal and Bespoke foods such as; Rump of Lakeland
Lamb with Truffled Tattie-Pot; Aged Rump of Fell Side Beef and
Haggis Wellington with Cumberland Mustard Cream Sauce; Line-caught
Brooke Char and Trout; Early Summer Garden Vegetables; and of
course, not to forget, Game when in season.
All our food is complemented wonderfully by
our Fine Wines from around the World – from a cool, crisp
Pinot Grigio to a warm, spicy Chateauneuf Du Pape and everything
in between. We have wines to suit all tastes.
Every Sunday we offer a one, two or three course
Lunch depending on your appetite!
If you have any special dietary requests, please
let us know in advance and we shall endeavour to provide a meal
for you accordingly.
Lakers Bar
In our Lakers Bar you can be sure of a warm welcome
whatever the weather! Where better to laze away an hour or two
on a cold wet afternoon than in our Lakers Bar with the warmth
of the fire, sampling our more traditional meals. Or for something
a little different, why not try a dish from our daily changing
specials board? And if the weather takes a turn for the better,
we have a lovely garden at the back of the Hotel where you can
be guaranteed a little break from the humdrum of daily life.
